Chris Cornforth

Senior Lecturer in Management in the Open University Business School. He has worked in various capacities with CRU since 1978. Chris research on co-operatives has focused on the organization, management and development of worker co-operatives.

In 1989 he joined the Business School at the Open University to set up a programme of courses for managers working in voluntary and non-profit organizations. He is currently leading the completion of a research project on governance in voluntary and non-profit organisations, which is part funded by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. He is also working on a project with Alan Thomas and Linda Mayoux examining the organizational tensions and dilemmas faced by international non-governmental organizations such as Oxfam.
